siptel implement IT solution for international law firm

A 2,000+ attorney global law firm recently moved to new offices. They now occupy more than 33,000 square feet of space in a landmark building in the heart of London’s financial district.

siptel was appointed as the IT solutions provider for the law firm’s IT relocation, having put forward a comprehensive proposal for a fully integrated voice and data solution. They implemented the Avaya Communication Manager for over 250 users. It is a fully resilient system with dual parenting, voice mail and 5 9’s reliability. It has also been configured in such a way that it can be networked to their other offices worldwide.

siptel was responsible for all aspects of IT from the planning and design phase, right through to implementation and successful migration of IT services, as well as support and finally training on the new technology infrastructure. siptel was engaged in the planning of the migration project over an eight week period, working closely with on-site contractors and third party suppliers.

When it came to the actual move, siptel’s engineers pre-staged the new equipment prior to the relocation and then had to move the users over a single week-end, so they started work on the Friday night, completed all the testing and the new site was up and running by the go-live date of Monday morning.

"We are delighted with this outstanding new space which will allow the firm to grow to meet client needs in Europe," said their IT Manager. "I am particularly pleased that the IT migration went so well and much of that credit goes to siptel, who managed the whole process from start to finish. The engineers especially just put their heads down and got on with the task in hand, going the extra mile to ensure that all users had a fully functioning phone and pc on their desk, by the Monday morning – which was no mean feat!
